Final Fantasy VI to be re-released for PlayStation
[12.10.98] » Final Fantasy IV and V have already been remade in Japan -- now it's the series sixth's turn.
According to Gaming Age, Square has decided to re-release Final Fantasy VI for the Sony PlayStation. Set for a March 1999 Japanese release, the company's movie development studios are hard at work on creating CG movies for both the introduction and ending to the game, similar to the FF IV and V remakes released for the PlayStation earlier this year.
Also identical to the previous remakes, gameplay, music and visuals are expected to remain virtually identical. Loading time was a slight issue with these two games -- let's hope Square is successful at speeding up gameplay with the third remake.
