Namco announces "The God RPG"

   While not the previously promised title from subsidary Monolith Soft, Namco's recently announced RPG bears more than a passing similarity to Square's cult hit Xenogears. Tenatively titled "The God RPG," the story tells of a world where men and gods coexist, and is sure to be chock-full of meaty existential philosophical goodness. The game engine will be 2D characters on 3D backgrounds. The character designer is Haruhiko Mikimoto of Macross fame. Further details remain to be seen.
