Pokémon: The First Movie pushed up

[11.01.99] » Eagerly-awaited Pokémon movie jumps to November 10th.

Pokéfans now have two fewer days to wait for Pokémon: The First Movie. Warners Bros. Family Entertainment today announced that the big-screen adventures of Mew and Mewtwo will open in theaters two days ahead of schedule -- Wednesday, November 10th instead of Friday, November 12th. The announcement comes in response to the unexpectedly strong fan anticipation of the movie.

"We are thrilled that American kids are responding to this movie in such a big way," said Dan Fellman, president of domestic distribution for Warner Bros. Pictures. "A Wednesday opening will not only give kids an earlier jump on the film but also allow parents more flexibility in getting them there."
