Baroque hits Japan
[10.28.99] » Sting's dark RPG ships to Japanese retailers, but where is the U.S. release?
Sting today announced that collective publishing team ESP had shipped Baroque to Japanese retailers. Originaly a popular Sega Saturn game released in 1998, Baroque takes place in a randomly-dungeon tower akin to that of Azure Dreams or Chocobo's Dungeon and features music by Masaharu Iwata of Final Fantasy Tactics fame.
Unfortunately, no North American release of Baroque has been announced, and the game's dark, Megami Tensei-esque subject matter may leave it forever an import-only title. Gamers desiring something different than standard RPG fare should either give an import retailer a call or keep their fingers crossed that a publisher will evenutally pick up the U.S. rights to the game.
