More on Dreamcast Resident Evil 2

   New details on the latest port of Resident Evil 2 reveal that the title may still merit a look from those who've played other versions of RE2. The new edition is officially titled Biohazard 2 Plus -- an apt title, as the 3-disc set includes a number of features beyond Biohazard 2. The game itself fits on a single GD-ROM disc; the other discs are devoted to a demo of Code Veronica, the first original Dreamcast title in the series, and a Biohazard 2 soundtrack.

   Other special features in the Dreamcast port include Jump Pack support, high-resolution rendered backdrops, and the Extreme Battle mode from the PSX re-release, in which one of five different characters fights his or her way through various randomized scenes from the game.

   Biohazard 2 Plus is due out December 23 in Japan; a North American release has not been announced.
