D2 enters beta stage
[10.12.99] » Long-delayed Dreamcast adventure is finally nearing completion.
Shen Mue and Code Veronica may be delayed, but another Dreamcast adventure game is finally nearing completion: D2. A recent update to creator Kenji Eno's online diary announced the game had finally entered the beta state -- though some bugs need to be worked out, the game itself can now be played through completely. According to Eno, one play through the game requires about fifteen hours, though experienced players can win in seven. Eno also stated that the game, currently four GD-ROMs big, could incorporate a fifth GD-ROM before development finishes.
The Warp-developed D2 is due out December 23rd in Japan, with a U.S. release coming courtesy of Sega in 2000.
