Square talks Yokohama

[10.06.99] » More than just Final Fantasy IX will be unveiled at Square's press conference in November.

   Square today released an official announcement concerning its Square Millennium in Yokohama, Japan, on November 23rd. Apparently unaware that the next millennium does not actually begin until 2001, Square will release "wonderous images and hot information" on its complete roster of games for 2000 at the conference. Both Square's first PlayStation 2 games and its last wave of PlayStation releases will be on display. A "special" game that is almost guaranteed to be a new Final Fantasy is one of the games scheduled to be announced; Square's previously-confirmed rhythm game should be another.

   Square also plans to reveal a new line of character-based merchandise to be released over winter 1999 and 2000, so those awaiting the latest in Cactrot-based fashion need only wait another month and a half.
