Palisades summons FF VIII Guardian Force figures to U.S.

   Now that Final Fantasy VIII has achieved retail success, the associated merchandise is coming out of the woodwork, including the eagerly anticipated Guardian Force action figures. According to Game Informer, Palisades has shipped the first four G.F. figures -- Ifrit, Odin, Cerberus, and Siren -- to retailers, and collectors and FF fans should be able to find them in stores now.

   Strong consumer interest towards the initial quadruplet has also prompted Palisades to pick up the rights to the other four G.F. figures, including GILGAMESH himself. GILGAMESH and the three other G.F.s in the second wave (for the record, they're Shiva, Diablos, and Bahamut -- but who cares about those losers?) are still waiting in the wings for a while; Palisades hasn't said when they'll be shipped, but don't expect them until early next year.
