Dino Crisis mod-chip crisis solved
[09.26.99] » U.S. Gameshark codes bypass unfriendly mod protection.
Gamers with modified PlayStations have been importing software fear-free for years. So it was with great surprise that Capcom's recent survival horror release, Dino Crisis, includes Sony's new, draconian anti-mod chip software. Upon booting the game, owners of modified PlayStations are greeting by a giant "NO" symbol with incomprehensible kanji; while Sony is more than happy to install the software on titles, they're apparently too busy to translate the error messages.
The GIA is happy to present legitimate owners of the game with Gameshark codes that bypass the mod-chip protection. Unlike codes posted at other sites, these codes are for the U.S. version of the game (not the Japanese). Remember, kiddies, piracy is wrong. But, then, so is making legitimately purchased titles unplayable for your system's greatest supporters. The code is:
D01852A0 A955
80185202 2400
Thanks to Kalisto for the news tip.
