More on the Zelda GBC trilogy

   Yoshiki Okamoto of Flagship, the company responsible for the storylines of the three upcoming Zelda Game Boy Color games, recently discussed with Famitsu the future of the trilogy.

   As previously reported, the three chapters of the series are each based around one of the Triforces: Power, Wisdom, and Courage. The first chapter, Acorn of the Mystical Tree, represents Power, and consequently it features an emphasis on fighting. When the Wisdom chapter follows a few months later, it will put the focus on puzzle-solving. (We'll have to wait and see how Flagship plans to center a game around "Courage").

   Okamoto also expressed interest in the Game Boy cellular phone adapter due out in 2000 in Japan. The device uses cell-phone technology to transmit Game Boy data over the Internet, and could eventually be used for portable online gaming. "We think it would be interesting to be able to receive data over things like cell phones, but we're not ready to go into any details," Okamoto said. "We're basically thinking, 'If this comes about, we would like to look into using it…"
