TGS: PS2 to interface with WonderSwan
[09.16.99] » Communication and data transfer via infared port
Sony has revealed that the WonderSwan will communicate with the PS2 via an infared port. While the details of this synergy are as yet unknown, it is likely that the systems will exchange data, statistics, saved games, and other information.
Downloading "mini-games," as with Sony's defunct-in-the-U.S. PocketStation, is another distinct possibility. Given the Sega Dreamcast with the Neo Geo Pocket Color, an interesting line-in-the-sand has been drawn in the next-generation console war.
