Onimusha moves to PlayStation 2

[09.13.99] » Development of Capcom's adventure game shifts to yet another platform.

Among the many games listed on Sony's official PlayStation 2 lineup is Capcom's Onimusha, meaning the ninja-based adventure game has shifted to yet another platform. Originally a Nintendo 64 game, Onimusha vanished for quite some time, but resurfaced a few months ago as a PlayStation game. Now, the game is headed to the PlayStation 2 with a vast graphical upgrade.

And what of the PlayStation version? It's likely the PSX release was simply canned, meaning Onimusha will appear on the PSX2 only. But despite the obvious differences in graphics and gameplay, it's possible -- though unlikely -- that Capcom will release the original PlayStation version separately.
