Sony announces Dark Cloud

   One of the first RPGs to hit the PlayStation 2 will be Sony's own Dark Cloud, announced today along with the PS2 system. Taking its cue from Legend of Mana's Landmake system, Dark Cloud is described a "Georama" in which you're given the chance to create your own world and then explore it. Using an overhead perspective, you place various land elements, then zoom down into the locations and you've just created. Though the game offers great depth of field, the graphics themselves aren't particularly impressive, given the potential power of the PlayStation 2.
