Namco announces Tales of Eternia
[09.10.99] » The Tales series becomes a trilogy with a new PlayStation RPG.
Namco today announced Tales of Eternia, the third chapter in the Tales series (which also includes Tales of Phantasia and Tales of Destiny). The new game, currently only 25% complete, will join its predecessors on the PlayStation sometime next year in Japan.
Development is being handled by Namco, not tri-Ace, the series' original creator. Mutsumi Inomata, Tales of Destiny's character designer, will create Tales of Eternia's cast as well, and anime studio Production IG will provide more anime clips. The controversial action-based Linear Motion Battle will return as well, in a new enhanced form.
