Sakura Taisen 3 in development

   After a brief venture into the traditional RPG field with Thousand Arms, developer Red is returning to its strategy RPG roots. IGNDC recently reported that a third installment of the Sakura Taisen series is in the works at Red and could arrive as soon as the end of 1999.

   More information on Sakura Taisen 3 is scheduled to be released throughout September and October, and it should be greetly warmly in Japan -- while neither Sakura Taisen nor its sequel reached North America, both Saturn games proved extremely popular in their land of origin.

   Red will reportedly unveil a new game at this month's Tokyo Game Show, and it's unlikely that the game is anything other than Sakura Taisen 3. Look for full coverage soon.
