Sony launches PS2 Greatest Hits line

   Though the PS2's price has remained at $300 since its launch in October 2000, select games in its library are about to get an official price drop. The successful Greatest Hits line of hit titles reintroduced at lower prices is coming to PS2; to qualify, games must sell more than 400,000 copies and have been on the market for over 9 months. Initial games in the Greatest Hits lineup include SCEA's Dark Cloud, Gran Turismo 3, Twisted Metal: Black, and ATV Offroad Fury. Suggested retail price for the budget line is $25, though individual resellers may set prices lower.
