Gameboy Advance worldwide price drop

[01.28.02] » Hardware and select European software set to receive a cozy little cost cut.

Nintendo will be lowering the price of the Gameboy Advance across the globe effective this Friday. In Europe, the handheld will burn off a hefty £30 to sell for £59.99 (about 99 Euros). The North American version is set to fall to $79.95, and the Japanese GBA to 8800 yen.

Also of interest is the fact that due to lowered production costs, certain titles released in Europe will launch with a suggested retail price of £29.99. While Nintendo's licensing fees have been recently reduced in North America, a similar software price drop has yet to be seen.
