Dance Dance Revolution Konamix revealed

[01.23.02] » Dance tres bien!

Late last year, Konami began planning the next U.S. PSone version of Dance Dance Revolution by polling hardcore fans for input on what songs they'd like to see in the next mix. Now it seems those plans are about to come to fruition. Though the company has yet to make an official announcement, a Konami representative, posting on the DDR Freak message boards, has confirmed that the third American DDR game, dubbed DDR Konamix, is on its way.

Though few details are available at this point, the Konami rep gave DDR fans plenty of reason to be hopeful. Not only did the polls have a major impact on the unrevealed tracklist, but the representative promised that "The emphasis on Konamix was to take a major leap with DDR and finally close the gap between what was released in JPN and what is released in the US."

No firm release date is available, but GameStop already has a listing for the game with a tentative April 30th ship date and a MSRP of $29.99. Konami has also revealed the official logo for the upcoming mix. More information should be forthcoming later this month.

Thanks to Nathan Brattain for the heads up.
