Xbox Japanese launch details

[01.1.02] » "Xbox not good enough for you? How about ... A LIMITED EDITION!"

Microsoft revealed their launch plans for the Xbox at their Winter Conference today. The regular edition system will debut for 34800 yen, and a special limited edition with only 50,000 units produced will cost 39800 yen. The special edition features a transparent green casing personally signed by Bill Gates, and includes an AV pack and keychain. Both editions will be released February 22, along with 12 games including Jet Set Radio Future, Genma Onimusha, Nobunaga's Ambition: Chronicles of Chaos, and Silent Hill 2: Saigo no Uta (Final Song)--however, in a move that may bode ill for the Xbox's Japanese success, no mahjongg, shogi, or horse racing games are among the 12.
