Metal Gear Solid 2 hits the 1.8 million mark

   Konami has announced that Metal Gear Solid 2, released on North America on November 13th, has sold over 1.8 million copies in its first two weeks. The game has surpassed the expectations of Konami of America, with retailers requesting more shipments before the game's release day had ended. Metal Gear Solid 2 is scheduled to ship in Japan on the 29th, with the European version being released in February of 2002.
