Square adds to PSOne Books series
[11.21.01] » Final Fantasy VII International returns to beat back the hordes of collectors.
In a move sure to make many gamers happy, Square has announced that four of their most popular and sought-after PSOne titles will be rereleased as part of Sony's PSOne Books, a new series of rereleases that includes many classic PlayStation games at budget prices. The most notable title Square will be rereleasing is Final Fantasy VII International, a 1997 Japanese rerelease of the game which included the improvements of the American version as well as a fourth encyclopedia disc. International has been a highly sought-after item since its original release, and the lower-priced reissuing of the title should come as a sigh of relief to collectors and import shops alike.
Three more Square titles are set to be included in the series: Final Fantasy Tactics, Xenogears and Chocobo Racing. This will be the third release of the three titles; FF Tactics and Xenogears were a part of Square's own Millennium Collection series last year, and Chocobo Racing was included as part of 1999's Chocobo Collection.
All four titles will be released simultaneously on December 20th in Japan, with FFVII International retailing at 3500 Yen, with the other three carrying seperate price tags of 2500 Yen. Inquisitive minds are welcome to visit Square's PSOne Books page for further information.
