Metal Gear Solid series to live on

   In an exclusive Gamespot interview with Hideo Kojima, the director mentioned that his Metal Gear Solid series "must live on in some form," and wants someone new to direct the next project. Kojima did say that he might be involved in the initial planning stages of the next game, but his contribution would stop there.

   Kojima also spoke of his concern with getting Metal Gear Solid 2 released on time before the end of the year. The goal was obviously reached, but Kojima defined the experience as his greatest challenge yet in his 15 years in the industry. While disappointed in what he considers to be a rushed job, Kojima hopes to make up by including a bevy of secrets to the Japanese version of the game.
