Eternal Darkness film contest

   Nintendo recently announced a film contest inspired by the upcoming GameCube adventure title Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem. The contest challenges amateur filmmakers to capture the essence of insanity by creating a treatment for a five minute film including character, story, and production information.

   The top ten entries will receive $2,000 to create their films, which will then be voted for on the Eternal Darkness Films website by viewers. The fans' choice will receive a $3,000 prize, while the grand prize winner chosen by a panel of film industry professionals with receive $20,000 and the opportunity for a private screening during a major film festival.

   Potential filmmakers should take note that the deadline for entires is November 16. In addition, Nintendo receives the rights to any submitted movies. Full contest information as well as a trailer for the game can be found at the Eternal Darkness Films website.
