Shenmue: The Movie heads to DVD
[10.24.01] » Just in case you didn't feel like actually playing the game.
After its short theatrical run, Sega has seen fit to release Shenmue: The Movie on DVD in Japan. The 90-minute movie is a compilation of cutscenes from Shenmue Chapter 1, and lets the viewer see exactly what happens in the first chapter of Yu Suzuki's saga without ever touching a controller. The movie does utilize the English voice acting with Japanese subtitles, though it is likely that the DVD will include the original Japanese voice acting as a special feature. No bonuses for the disc have been confirmed as of yet.
Shenmue: The Movie will be released on Region 2 NTSC DVD on December 21 for a suggested retail price of 4700 yen. A North American release has not been announced.
