Silent Hill 2 Xbox details
[10.23.01] » Konami's horror adventure gets a new subtitle,
a release date, and a whole lot more.
Though the Xbox version of Silent Hill 2 was playable
at last week's Tokyo Game Show, Konami has remained quiet about exactly
what extras the port will offer. IGNXbox, however, has uncovered
the first real details on what is beginning to look like a much expanded
Silent Hill 2.
Though the Xbox version will be subtitled "The
Last Poem" in Japan, the US version will be receiving a new subtitle:
"Restless Dreams." In addition to a few graphical tweaks
for the new console, the Xbox version also be getting some major new
story additions in the form of an entirely new "sub-scenario,"
entitled "Born From a Wish." Players will take control of
Maria, instead of the main game's lead, James Sunderland. Konami claims
that Born From a Wish will take players from 4 to 6 hours to complete,
which would make it almost half as long as the entire original game.
Silent Hill 2: Restless Dreams should be arriving
in the states sometime this December.
