New Metal Gear Solid 2 details

   In what may be the world's most poorly observed "media blackout," Konami has released details on several new major characters in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. Already seen in the E3 2001 video were Fortune, the dark-skinned and golden-haired woman who wields a railgun; and the vampiric character seen massacring a group of soldiers--now creatively named "Vamp." Also new is Emma, described only as a bespectacled teenage girl, whose connection to the plot is unknown but may have a hand in the design of the latest Metal Gear.

   Showgoers at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show will also be treated to a new playable demo for the game. For more details, visit GameSpot.
