Konami to release Art of Silent Hill DVD in Japan

[09.30.01] » Of course, those that imported Silent Hill 2 already know this.

Konami revealed, via the Japanese Silent Hill 2 instruction manual, plans to release a DVD-Video titled Art of SILENT HILL in Japan. Though the single page ad in the manual was fairly minimal in information, the contents of the disc will include Original BGV (Background Video), the Trailer, "Unlisted" Images, and a section simply titled The Creature. With the power of deductive reasoning, one can assume that the BGV section will include what we refer to as FMV, and that the "Unlisted" images is a collection of production artwork and other unreleased art. The Creature section is the most mysterious -- it may profile the gruesome enemies from the game, or perhaps one particular beast.

No North American release has been announced, and if Konami's past DVD-Video release of both the Metal Gear Solid 2 Trailer and the Z.O.E anime are any indication, interested parties should contact their nearest importer. Art of SILENT HILL will be released on Region 2/NTSC DVD in Japan on November 11, 2000, for a suggested retail price of 1800 yen.
