New Suikoden III details?
[09.13.01] » Reports from Japan reveal possible info on
Konami's mysterious sequel.
With the long awaited release of Suikoden III just
a few months away in Japan, Konami is still keeping details on the
game heavily under wraps. The next issue of Famitsu Weekly, however,
will apparently feature some new information and IGN
has reported some new, but as-yet unconfirmed, details.
As previously reported, the third game in the series
will have three main characters, reportedly named Hugo, Chris, and
Ged. Each of the three hails from a different part of Suikoden's world;
the west, the Grasslands, and the Zeksen Federation (unofficial romanization).
Which of the three comes from which area is currently unknown. The
focus of the game will switch between the three as the plot progresses;
a character's choices and actions in one section will have an effect
on the later chapters. Suikoden III will apparently take place 15
years after the end of the last game. Preliminary reports on the graphic
style also confirm the game as fully 3-D, but with a slightly super-deformed
look to the characters.
