New Suikoden III information

   A recent press release from KCET revealed the first concrete details on Suikoden III apart from the character sketches released several months ago. In a departure from the 2D sprites in 3D environments of the first two games, the third game will be fully polygonal, which confirms previous rumors.

   The developers seem to be aiming even higher than they did with Suikoden II; the third game will reportedly feature three times as much scenario data as II. Furthermore, where the second game concerned two characters separated only by opposing viewpoints, Suikoden III will revolve around three characters of varying age in opposition to each other. Presumably, these are the three characters in the new artwork.

   Suikoden III is set for a December release in Japan. No U.S. release has been announced. Thanks to Nick Rox for the tip.
