Spaceworld: Tomato Adventure details and screens

[08.23.01] » Nintendo's new gimmick RPG will give you a good dokidoki wakkuwaku feeling.

Among the slew of first party GBA titles revealed at this weeks Spaceworld comes Tomato Adventure, a lighthearted action RPG which bears more than a passing resemblance to Paper Mario. Developed by AlphaDream, Tomato Adventure employs a similar pastel-hued art style and uses uses unique minigames for its combat system combat.

Each of the weapons in the game functions as a "gimmick," a special minigame which determines the effectiveness of the attack by how successful the player is at the game. The game will offer a huge number of these gimmicks for use in battle, and the player can set the difficulty of the overall game by choosing which to use. Tomato Adventure will also make use of the GBA link cable for a as-yet unrevealed multiplayer mode.

No real story details have been revealed about the game, but Tomato Adventure is already set for a January 2002 release in Japan. No word has been given about a possible US release. Look for more information as Spaceworld continues.
