Seaman coming to PlayStation 2
[08.22.01] » In more ways than one.
Vivarium and ASCII have announced Sega's seminally strange, yet innovative Dreamcast virtual pet game will be making its way to the PlayStation 2. Thankfully for Seaman devotees, the PS2 port will see additional features added on top of the Dreamcast version. Among the chief upgrades is with the title character. Seaman will now see a much more expanded evolutionary cycle. Additionally, as with its precursor the game starts Seaman in a tank, but as it develops will eventually move into the ocean, then onto land.
The PS2 port will also initially include, as part of a limited package, an ASCII controller with built-in microphone, as well as Seaman jar caps. The game is slated for Japanese release on November 15 for 8800 yen. At present, there's no word on a possible North American release.
