New details on Phantasy Star Online for GameCube
[08.14.01] » Sega's online RPG is pushed back to 2002, but new character types are on the way.
New details on Sega's GameCube version of Phantasy Star Online ver. 2 have been announced. First, GameSpot VG reports that the title has been pushed back from its original 2001 release date to March 2002, when the GameCube's dial-up and broadband modems will ship in Japan.
However, GameCube owners will be rewarded for their patience with some new features. In addition to the previously-announced split-screen mode, PSO for GameCube will feature two exclusive new character classes. Sonic Team will unveil the new classes at Nintendo's Spaceworld show, which begins August 24th; in the mean time, the developer has released a small teaser image of the new character types.
