Sega announced today that Sony Computer Entertainment Europe would publish seven Sega games for the PlayStation 2. The games, set to be translated into five different language for the European market, are Virtua Fighter 4, F-354 Challenge, Ecco the Dolphin, Head Hunter, K-Project, and both titles in the Space Channel 5 series. Two of the titles are expected by Christmas this year, with the others likely debuting in 2002.

"Since we do not have our own marketing network in Europe, we decided to have SCE to handle distribution of our games for PlayStation 2," said a Sega spokesman.

"These game titles are very important for our company," said Yoshio Sakai, president of Sega Europe. "We expect game sales for the PlayStation 2 to be a great success."
