E3: Working Designs looking to publish for GameCube

[05.19.01] » No specific titles announced, but company currently "exploring possible games for publication."

On Thursday, Working Designs issued a last-minute E3 press release extolling the company's 10 year history as a console publisher and reaffirming their plans for next-generation publication -- now for the GameCube as well as the PlayStation 2. While the company fully believes that Sony will "maintain [its] leadership in the console industry," president Victor Ireland stated that "the GameCube presents an exciting opportunity to extend our fan base with innovative game content, and we are exploring possible games for publication."

No specific titles were mentioned for consideration, but the company expects to continue localizing RPGs, shooters, and other titles similar in styles and themes to those the company has worked with in the past.
