E3: More info revealed in Metroid Prime video
[05.18.01] » Video said to be FMV using in-game models and textures.
After the Metroid Prime was shown at E3 this year, some feared that the clip showed FMV only, and not actual game play. However, Nintendo's Ken Lobb revealed via IGNCube that though the video shown was in fact full-motion video, it utilized in-game models and textures, meaning that the actual gameplay should look just as good as the clip did. In addition, the game will take advantage of the GameCube's power for real-time lighting and particle effects, as well as pyrotechnic weapons.
