E3: Microsoft details Xbox online gaming

   At their press conference, Microsoft detailed their vision for Xbox online gaming. Like the Sega Dreamcast, the Xbox will include everything that you need "in the box." While they did not necessarily define this statement, broadband & the Xbox's built-in ethernet port were mentioned, as was the ability to interact with your opponent through voice. Microsoft did emphasise that Xbox is not meant to be an internet browser or a way to send email, but that the online functions would be used strictly for gaming.
