New SharkPort details
[03.17.01] » It's DexDrive for the PS2.
InterAct revealed new details on their upcoming memory peripheral for the PlayStation 2, called SharkPort. The device allows gamers to store PS2 game saves and codes on a PC hard drive via a USB connection. SharkPort includes the USB to USB cable as well as software that allows users to transfer the saves from the memory card to PC and the internet. GameShark codes can also be downloaded and stored without the need to input.
"By linking your PS2 to your PC using innovative USB software technology, InterAct has created an economical solution for storage of and internet access to game save and code content," said John Hays, Director of GameShark Product Development at InterAct Accessories. "In a matter of seconds PS2 gamers will have the convenience and power of their PC to manage and store all of their favorite PS2 game saves, GameShark codes, and any other downloadable content available on the world wide web."
Summoner fans with a penchant for file sharing should be as high as a hog in a house on a hill, as the SharkPort is slated for release later this month and will retail for $29.99 US.
