Sakura Taisen jumps to PlayStation 2

   Space Channel 5 isn't be the only Sega franchise bound for Sony-land. Famitsu reports that a port of the Dreamcast strategy RPG Sakura Taisen, itself a remake of a Saturn title, is also in the works for the PlayStation 2. (It's not entirely clear whether Sega plans to port just the first game or the entire seties, but it appears only Sakura Taisen 1 has been announced so far.) A release date for the new version has not yet been announced.

   Will the platform hop bring the series its first North American release? Working Designs head Victor Ireland stated in a post on the company's message board that it's "quite possible" W.D. will localize the title.
