Sega to drop price of Dreamcast, liquidate inventory
[01.31.01] » And it's happening sooner than you think.
Sega has confirmed that the price of the Dreamcast will drop to $99 on February 4th, a move designed to help Sega sell the remaining warehoused supply of consoles.
"We'll continue to support the hardware through December 31st, as we anticipate some hardware will still be in retail at that time, but we'll no longer be holding inventory as of March 31st," said Heather Hawkins, manager of marketing communications for Sega.
