Unison North America-bound

[01.25.01] » Tecmo's dancing title joins the rhythm game invasion.

Tecmo will be releasing its dancing game Unison: Rebels of Rhythm and Dance in North America, reports videogames.com. The PlayStation 2 rhythm title will debut in March, putting it in direct competition with its PS1 brethren Dance Dance Revolution. It will carry a suggested retail price of $49.95 US.

Tecmo plans to tune up the North American version of Unison with additional game modes and new songs. Four of the Japanese songs will remain in the game; the other eight will be replaced with English tunes. Confirmed new songs include Aqua's "Barbie Girl", Nelly's "Country Grammar", Naughty By Nature's "OPP", and Apollo 440's "Can't Stop the Rock."

"The stunning realism of the graphics, the array of original dance songs, and the electrifying plot take this title to all-new levels," said Tecmo's John Inada. "And die-hard fans of Japanese anime will be in for a treat, too."

Look for full coverage of Unison soon.
