El Dorado Gate to see U.S. release?
[01.24.00] » Capcom's Dreamcast RPG may get a U.S. release from a yet unrevealed publisher.
El Dorado Gate, best known for a unique serial release schedule and character designs by Yoshitaka Amano, may see a U.S. release after all - but from someone else instead of developer Capcom.
Capcom released the first installment of the 2D Dreamcast RPG in October of 2000 in Japan, but no word had come regarding a stateside version, and Capcom has officially denied any plans to publish one. But sources close to Sega of America have reported that the title has appeared on third party release lists, meaning another publisher has plans to release the game here. Likely candidates include Ubi Soft (publisher of Grandia II) or Conspiracy Games (announced publisher of Record of Lodoss War).
