Kojima discusses upcoming PS2 games
[01.17.01] » And everyone listens.
In a recent interview, Hideo Kojima spoke about his two
widely anticipated PlayStation 2 projects: Zone of the Enders and Metal
Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. The acclaimed game designer assured fans that both games are progressing smoothly, due in part to the increase in staff working under him.
Those awaiting Z.O.E's upcoming late-March
release will be glad to know that the title is right on track and that the master
version is nearing completion. Aside from a few minor adjustments, the
game has turned out as its team had originally planned it prior to receiving their
finished PlayStation 2 development kits.
Accompanying Z.O.E will be a demo of Metal Gear Solid
2. The demo will show off roughly 5% of the finished version and is estimated to take an hour to complete. It also includes a variety of difficulty settings to add to its replay value.
Kojima went on to comment that they'll be aiming for 15 hours of gameplay with Metal Gear Solid 2, although the exact length is as of yet undetermined.
