Camelot discusses RPG plans

[01.09.01] » Golden Sun to support Mobile Adapter, GameCube RPG in the works.

In an interview with Japanese magazine 64 Dream, Camelot confirmed that its upcoming Game Boy Advance RPG, Golden Sun, will support the system's Mobile Adaptor. There's no word on how the cellular connection device will fit into the game, however -- it could be used for simple item and hint swapping, or it could be used for a full-fledged multiplayer mode. No North American release of the Mobile Adaptor is planned; these features could likely be cut from any such localization.

The company also confirmed that it has a Game Cube RPG in the works. Full-scale development on the title will begin as soon as Golden Sun is complete, with the company aiming to release it as close to the Game Cube's July 2001 Japanese ship date as possible. It's possible that the Game Cube RPG and Golden Sun will be able to share data, a feature seen in a number of Camelot's other titles, such as Mario Golf and Mario Tennis.
