Resident Evil 4 update

[01.07.01] » The next installment in Capcom's adventure series won't arrive until 2002.

   At its second annual Gamers' Day in Las Vegas, Capcom briefly discussed the status of Resident Evil 4. While the story for many of the recent Resident Evils were farmed out to Flagship or Sega, Resident Evil 4 is being developed entirely in-house with series creator Shinji Mikami at the helm. The story will pick up at the end of the current Resident Evil timeline, unlike the forthcoming prequel Resident Evil Zero.

   Resident Evil 4 also may be released on multiple systems -- a PlayStation 2 release is a lock, but GameCube and Xbox versions could surface as well. None of the versions will arrive before 2002, however.
