InterAct announces PS2 DexDrive

[01.07.01] » DexPort to be released by end of month.

InterAct recently announced a PlayStation 2 version of its popular DexDrive accessory. Now called The DexPort, the device will function in much the same way as the PlayStation 1-based DexDrive, allowing users to transfer save files from the PlayStation 2 to their PCs.

"DexPort offers PS2 gamers some unique opportunities beyond storing and managing many game saves," said John Hays, director of GameShark product development at InterAct. "The ability to email saves to friends, along with downloadable saves from GameShark.com, adds a level of interactivity which is currently unavailable for the PS2."

The DexPort will be released in mid-January at a suggested retail price of only $24.99.
