Dragon Quest VII breaks 4 million
[01.05.01] » Enix's RPG juggernaut sets another sales record.
Japan's demand for Dragon Quest VII continues
unabated. Enix has just announced the record-selling game has passed
an even higher watermark -- over four million copies of Dragon Quest
VII have now been shipped since the game's launch in August of last
year. The number is certainly something for the company to brag about;
this is the first time any PlayStation game has achieved this level
of success.
A possible US release for Dragon Quest VII is still
up in the air. The localization was announced
by Enix Japan, but the company's American branch has been suspiciously
silent on the matter. Regardless, the game's continued success in
its native land should only improve the chances of a possible jump
stateside.
