Famitsu gives Phantasy Star Online platinum award

[12.13.00] » Sega's groundbreaking RPG has its first four satisfied players.

Respected Japanese magazine Famitsu has given Phantasy Star Online a big thumbs-up in the form of a 37/40 score, enough to earn a coveted platinum award. The GIA apologizes for an earlier story that was later found to be based on an incorrect report that the title received a 40. Either way, the platinum award should serve as a good omen for any fans worried about the franchise's new network direction.

Sega's online RPG hits stores in Japan on December 21st and arrives in America next month.
