Dragon Warrior III GBC headed to America

[12.08.00] » Enix of America keeps the slimes coming, once again adding graphical upgrades and other new features.

   After the successful release of Dragon Warrior I+II for the Game Boy Color this year, Enix of America has decided to follow up with a translation of Dragon Quest III. The third game will finish the trilogy started by the first two, putting you in the role of a famous adventurer's son who sets out to rid the world of evil once again. If you don't count Pokémon, Dragon Quest III is the best selling RPG of all time in Japan at over 5.2 million copies.

    Far more than a straight port, the remake will include a number of upgrades, including a minigame in which you hunt for monster medals -- for details, check our updated preview. The game is currently set for release sometime next year.
