MGS2 demo with US Z.O.E confirmed, shown
[12.08.00] » Could Konami single-handedly justify the PS2?
As part of their first annual Gamer's Day, Konami
announced that the US release of the highly-anticipated Zone of the
Enders will include a playable demo of the even more highly-anticipated
Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. Though the demo was previously
announced for the Japanese release
of Z.O.E, this comes as the first news of its arrival in the US.
It's not known at this point how much gameplay
the demo will serve up, but a Konami representative did play the demo for gawkers at Konami's "1st Annual Gamers Day." Though press and fans weren't allowed to actually play, a new reel of gameplay and cutscene footage was shown alongside the demo.
It's not known at this point how much gameplay
the demo will serve up, but Konami did reveal that it will come as
a promotional extra rather than a true pack-in. The demo will be given
out only at participating retailers when Z.O.E hits the streets in
March 2001.
