Dragon Quest VIII development begins

    Only a few months after the Japanese release of the highly successful Dragon Quest VII; Enix president Keiji Honda has officially confirmed that Dragon Quest VIII is in preliminary development for an undisclosed platform. However, rumors suggest the title is to be released for PlayStation 2. The game is tentatively scheduled for a 2002 release.
